The VIP map of the region

A very special goodie is the Zell am See Kaprun Summer Card included in the village chalets from May 15 to October 31.
Hiking with children

If you don’t want it to be too strenuous with the kids or you only want to spend a few hours on the mountain, the Maiskogel is a good choice:
The best view in Zell am See-Kaprun

If you’re looking for the best postcard view in the region, you’ll find it on the Mitterberg. It is also an ideal starting point for a hike up the Schwalbenwand and, thanks to the Berggasthof Mitterberg, you can even enjoy coffee, cake and other simple, down-to-earth regional dishes.
In the Rauchkuchl

Many people recommended the Rauchkuchl to us … but in the end we were still surprised, and positively so … by a thoroughly perfect evening! Alpine natural cuisine: a regional seasonal menu at the highest level In an authentic old farmhouse with a real smokehouse Unagitated service, even with small children
Berry & mushroom season

Every year, around the beginning of August, it starts … depending on the weather, the chanterelles, porcini mushrooms and cranberries (blueberries) sprout from the ground. It must be something like a primal urge, because it’s so much fun looking for mushrooms and berries.
Part 2: Bike – Maiskogel Trail

For those who simply want to try downhill biking and find the more challenging trails (still) too much and too crowded, the Maiskogel Trail is a great option.
Part 1: Bike – Kaprun, Erlhofplatte & Hundstein

The mountain bike tour up the Hundstein is a great opportunity for well-trained bikers to enjoy the fantastic panoramic view from Europe’s highest grassy mountain, both on an organic bike 😜 and on an e-bike.
