The Dorfchalets Kaprun consist of 6 boutique chalets and 2 apartments right in the heart of Kaprun. Once the summer visitors have left, Kaprun shows its most relaxed side. The air is clear, the view often stretches all the way to the Großglockner, and at the mountain huts you’ll once again find a spot in the sun. The days are pleasantly warm for hiking, and the evenings are perfect for the Danish stove in the chalet.

There’s hardly anywhere else in Austria where you can start the ski season as early as in Kaprun. On the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier (3,203 m), the first runs in the upper glacier area open as early as October. Best of all: From the village chalets, you can reach the 3K K-onnection in just a few minutes and glide over the Maiskogel directly into the glacier ski area.

At over 2,000 meters above sea level, the reservoirs glow a particularly vivid turquoise in the fall, framed by the 3,000-meter peaks of the Hohe Tauern. Around Mooserboden, you’ll find easy walking trails as well as challenging hikes.

In the fall, Kaprun’s local mountain is a delight for families and leisurely hikers: gentle trails, colorful larch trees, and cozy mountain huts.

Yes. The Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card is included with your stay at the Dorfchalets through October 31. During the off-season, it is valid for the entire day starting on the day of your arrival.

It’s just under 8 minutes to the Maiskogelbahn valley station. At the Maiskogelbahn mountain station, you can then transfer to the 3K K-onnection.
