National Park Worlds

Mittersill & Hintersee

The National Park Worlds in Mittersill are also really great with children, a very interactive museum that brings you closer to the highlights of the Hohe Tauern in a visually stunning way.

  • Child-friendly
  • Impressive nature in the museum & outdoors
  • Top excursion destinations for changeable weather

Educational content and child-friendly highlights are cleverly combined here. There is a marmot burrow to crawl into, climbing walls, a 360° cinema with the most beautiful landscapes, a real-size cow and much more to make children’s hearts light up. And lots of interesting things for the parents as well.

The National Park Center is included in the Zell am See Kaprun Summer Card and is therefore free of charge, unfortunately dogs are not allowed.

Afterwards, you can continue in the direction of Felbertauern to Hintersee …a fantastically idyllic mountain lake where adults can enjoy the fantastic mountain panorama and kids can let off steam in the small streams. Spare clothes are recommended 😉

At the end of the small lake is a small hut, the Gamsblickhütte… perfect for a short break and a delicious Kaiserschmarrn *mmmmhhhh* 😋

We hope you have lots of fun discovering 🐄
