Klammsee in Kaprun

Sigmund Thun Gorge & Gorge Lake

Kaprun's most instagrammable spots

The Klammsee, a world of its own at any time of year … and not far from the
village chalets
and Kaprun. You simply take the road in the direction of the Kitzsteinhorn.

The best thing to do first is to walk through the beautiful Sigmund Thun Gorge (free of charge with the summer card) … takes about 20 minutes and is no problem even for children aged 4 and over; a Kraxe is recommended for small children.

At the end you will come across the beautiful Klammsee … Depending on the season, either deep blue or emerald green. Always ice-cold, as it is fed with glacier water. At the end of the gorge lake is a children’s playground, a kiosk and a small fitness trail.
Runners can use the path next to the gorge for an idyllic running loop and even extend the loop in the direction of the Kitzsteinhorn.

Have fun discovering!
