In the Rauchkuchl

from Tobias Bacher

Many people recommended the Rauchkuchl to us, but in the end we were still surprised, and positively so, by a thoroughly perfect evening!

  • Alpine natural cuisine: a regional seasonal menu at the highest level
  • In an authentic old farmhouse with a real smokehouse
  • Unagitated service, even with small children

So let’s start from the beginning: a classic à la carte menu does not await you here! There will be a surprise menu prepared on the day by the incredibly talented chef Tobias Bacher with the help of Mama Theresia.

As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by this beautifully preserved and restored farmhouse, the Schwaigerlehen in the middle of Stuhlfelden.
We were warmly welcomed with a nice sparkling fruit wine and then there was an extensive greeting from the kitchen … admittedly the only photo I took (because we were too excited from course one ;-)) Beef tartare, foamed beetroot butter, home-made bread still warm, home-made sausages, venison loin and and and and

The second course was a cauliflower soup with crumbled cauliflower prepared in the Rauchkuchl, refined with different shapes of the vegetable.

This was followed by an incredibly good bacon and potato dumpling on sauerkraut. That sounds down-to-earth, but the taste was in a different league.

The main course was a fillet of beef with seasonal vegetables, which was roasted perfectly pink and almost fell apart in the mouth…

To round off the meal, there was an original Pinzgau apple sauce with honey-milk ice cream.

Our conclusion

In summary, a menu of regional specialties, prepared to the highest standards in a very cozy and authentic environment … just as it should be!

And best of all, it was also an experience for the children … the relaxed atmosphere and little treats such as coloring books, stones etc. made them particularly relaxed, so we all enjoyed the evening to the full!

So make sure you book early 🙂

Thank you, it was a culinary feast for us with you
