We would start the day at the Ederhütte – one of our absolute favorites!!! The food – just great, the view – super and you can just feel the attention to detail from Vicky & Martin…and if kids are there, it’s also super relaxed because there’s so much to see and do…sandpit, rabbits, goats, ball track…it never gets boring!

Afterwards, you can continue in the direction of Felbertauern to Hintersee …a fantastically idyllic mountain lake where adults can enjoy the fantastic mountain panorama and kids can let off steam in the small streams. Spare clothes are recommended 😉 The breakfast here is a special highlight, it’s even worth going up the mountain just for it – it’s probably one of the best in the region! If you want to earn your calories, you can hike to the Ederhütte via the Sonnkogel and the artistic and panoramic high trail. The faster option is to take the TrassXpress and then simply hike down for 15 minutes. Freshly fortified and motivated, you can then hike on to the Maurerkogel for a summit victory … Here is the link to the entire hiking area, there are many more options. Happy Hiking
